small business and assumes all the risk and reward of a given business venture,
idea, or good or service offered for sale. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as
a business leader and innovator of new ideas and business processes.
Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are the people who have the
skills and initiative necessary to take good new ideas to market and make the
right decisions to make the idea profitable. The reward for the risks taken is
the potential economic profits the entrepreneur could earn. Among the examples
of entrepreneurs who holds the youngest billionaire in Malaysia, Dato’Aliff
Syukri Kamarzaman. He has managed to become entrepreneurs as early as age 25
years by establishing a cosmetics company D'Healthy Herbs Sdn. Bhd. Among the
five characteristics of successful entrepreneurs who have inside Dato' Aliff
Syukri is, initiative, versatility, decisive, perceptiveness and foresight.
1.0 NINE ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAITS
1.1 - INTEGRITY AND RELIABILITY
Integrity and reliability is
one of the features that need to be highlighted by every entrepreneur. to
all those who have an interest in
business. Stakeholders with whom Entrepreneurs
are customers, suppliers, employees,
attorneys, bankers, accountants, partners, shareholders
and the government. These properties are
very important to entrepreneurs
because it allows
the entrepreneur to win the trust
of all parties. Lack of integrity
has permeated our culture. It can be seen in politics, sports, business and
entertainment. Integrity is the highest level of professionalism and behavior.
It’s doing what you know is right, even if no one is looking; it’s standing up
for what you believe in and having the courage to speak up, even if your
opinion is unpopular. For instance, Dato’ Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman the founder
of D’Herbs product.
His products is 100 percent ingredients derived from herbs
and also low compared to other health products in the market. Product D 'Herbs

1.2 - FORESIGHT
Entrepreneurs of the 21st century is not only smart

action on the opportunities available. entrepreneurs seize opportunities and
implement a pre-requisite for success. As an entrepreneur who can predict and analyse
the opportunity, they would not release that can bring benefits to the
organization so alone. Entrepreneurs who have this feature called an unique
because they can see the future more distant from the public to the
opportunities that will take the example of Malaysian entrepreneurs such as Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah founder and
group leader residency.
In terms of its history, the group managed to take three deep recessions successfully. Because of the efficiency in the management of all obstacles and challenges
can be addressed efficiently and quickly. Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey is said as a man who has foresight
and can determine what will happen in the future.
1.3 - DECISIVE

of individuals who express a firm is willing to trouble others directly and
take action despite much opposition from other parties. For example Tan Sri Lim
Goh Tong on projects Genting Highlands at one time used to be said as the
project foolish and a waste of time but was finally completed until he became
famous as well as being among the top ten richest people in Malaysia and
Southeast Asia. Tan Sri Lim assertiveness attitude caused him courage to
express his new ideas.
1.4 - ABILITY
TO LEARN FROM MISTAKES
Sometimes when you decide a way, you make mistakes.
It is best to accept the failure and get on with improving your other
innovations. Many individuals give up from the game of entrepreneurship because
of the fear of making mistakes. They perceive mistakes as bad and loss so they
avoid it like a plague. But successful entrepreneurs see business mistakes as a
learning tool; they see it as an opportunity to achieve new knowledge. Even a
mistake may turn be a necessary to a worthwhile achievement. Successful
entrepreneurs make mistakes in business but they do not give up and stop to
learn new things. They know mistakes are part of the entrepreneurial process,
so they learn quickly from these business mistakes and move on. If you never
made a mistake in business, then you will never learn about business. For
example, Harsukhlal Maganlal
Kamdar who is the
founder and managing director of the
center Kamdar clothing. the secret of success is to make Harsukhlal career
as an entrepreneur as well as his hobbies and
interests are not afraid to make
mistakes and always

difficulties calmly without hampering their
execution to go ahead. For entrepreneurs every problem and tribulations sure something good comes from. An entrepreneur must have
the attitude initiative the matter entrusted to
him. These features indicate
that the entrepreneur have a
passion or a habit to carry out its duties without ordered or forced. This is
important because a successful entrepreneur will be responsible for the
attitudes, behaviors and actions. Someone who have initiative need to deal with
change and the passage of time so as not to seem. As an example Tan Sri Loh
Boon Siew who has initiative and responsibility to obtained the distribution
right of Honda motorcycle.
1.6 - VERSATILITY

be a world leader
in his field of work. Entrepreneurs will always

new ideas and be
able to integrate the idea of rational
and creative solutions. In addition, they will be also always looking
for strategies that are more
efficient than existing,
and that is why they
are always in
front. For example, the founder
and leader cheap
airfare that an
entrepreneur Tony Fernandes
is versatile in
ensuring the success of the airline
Air Asia. This feature also made him
become someone which is very creative and dynamic in all of his actions.
1.7-
TIME COMPETENCE
An entrepreneur viable will always find a way
to improve the productivity of the company and himself. Increased productivity
means making production or provides services more cost-saving or with faster
time without affecting production performance. Only in this way, waste can be
avoided. Which emphasizes individual self or its efficiency will try our best
to use business information or good management method for correcting the level
of efficiency of the company's use of raw materials, capital, manpower,
machinery and equipment as well as technological. An entrepreneur also need
systematic planning with planning and organizing steps to divide a large task
or job to smaller tasks quickly and easily. Create a plan that can overcome
obstacles expected. For example, Michael Dell of Dell Corporation is the first
entrepreneur to introduce on-line purchases of computers by using direct dial using the internet
to consumers online. So now users can
make purchases through
the internet which is now considered to be more convenient and
economical.
1.8 - PERCEPTIVENESS
Perceptiveness is the
ability to create and build something from practically nothing. Its captures
the senses that entrepreneurs are like magicians, creating thriving
organizations out of good ideas and a lot of sweat. Perceptiveness towards solutions for
difficult problems could be the key to his or her success. One of the most
vexing situations entrepreneurs face is the allocation of scarce resources. For
example, marketing manager should be able to decide how to best use a small
advertising budget with a big impact profits in the future. Furthermore, they
must be creative in their ability to find capital, team members, or markets and
have the ability to make do with the limited resources available to them. For example entrepreneurs in the retail sector, the largest in the
United States where Sam Walton.
Before entering the field he is the supervisor of
the securities business in the
field of aircraft and war camp. Thanks to the ingenuity
and dedication of his tame in business after
leaving the military. He studied business with experience
and inspiration when
dealing with suppliers and distributors.
1.9 - ETHICAL CONCIOUSNESS
Ethics is a system of moral principles
in determining an act is right or wrong. Awareness
of ethics for an entrepreneur is important to keep
the balance of social responsibility. Entrepreneurs will avoid

getting banned substances, in
violation of government regulations, fraud, and corruption and
so on. Many issues
collapsed buildings or infrastructure is
often associated with corruption
which lowered the
quality of the material used to
cover the cost of paying a bribe.
Consequence not only loss of property but people
life too. An example of entrepreneur that has high trait ethical consciousness
is Mary Montessori of Italy which has inspired Montessori approach to
education of pre-school children. In India, there Vinoba Bhave who has helped
people who do not have land to distribute nearly seven million acres of land.

FIVE ENTREPRENEUR TRAITS OF DATO’ ALIFF SYUKRI
KAMARZAMAN
2.1.1
Integrity and reliability
Reliability is the
quality of honesty, fair dealing and reliability in terms of doing what one has
promised to do are essential traits of an entrepreneur. Customers reasonably
expect businesses to be reliable, responsible and dependable.
Remarkably again about D’Herbs product is 100 percent ingredients derived from herbs
and also low compared to other health products in the market. Product D 'Herbs
can be found for as low as RM15 concentration of people in each location,
including night markets, farmers' markets, pharmacies, herbal shops, and sales
centers D' Herbs itself. In fact, his products are produced in its own factory
which Aliff Herbs Manufacturing Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Aliff are very strict to make a
healthy and always make sure each of his products are good quality and meets
customers satisfaction. Because of that, it is very affordable and reliable to
buy.
2.1.2 Foresight
As a foresight man,
copes with uncertainty is a complementary. Being an entrepreneur is
much more uncertain than paid employment, where income is guaranteed. This
uncertainly covers sales and turnover, material delivery, production, prices
and bank support.
As a husband and father at a young age and
lived in the city, Dato’ Aliff thought he must find a way to make extra income.
Every weekend, he will make the workshop of beauty and health in the workplace,
whether private or government sectors.
He also sells health and beauty products at the time of the workshop.
The price is also not expensive, between RM5 to RM10 only. It is because of
marketing strategy. In customers preferred always wanted to have low price and
quality product. Sitting at customers’ situation, Dato’ Aliff is a real
foresight businessman. Through workshops conducted, he was able to earn up to
RM3000 per month. After persistent selling products of various brands, he began
to feel better sell his own products. Then, he took drastic measures to remove
the product of his own creation. All existing savings, he fully used to produce
its own brand. While aware of the risk of bankruptcy is there, but after
studying it for several months, his company D 'Healthy Herbs Sdn. Bhd. managed
to release the first lipstick collagen in Malaysia.
2.1.3 Versatility
Dato’ Aliff are risk taker who have all gotten over one very significant hurdle. He is not afraid of failure. That's not to say that he rush in with reckless abandon. In fact, Dato’ Aliff often successful because he always calculating and able to make the best decisions in even the worst of cases. However, he also accept that, even if he make the best decision possible, things don't always go according to plan and may fail anyhow.
Successful business people base their work
upon the strength they have, such as manual skills, interpersonal skills,
selling skills, organizational skills, writing skills, knowledge of a
particular product or service, knowledge of people in a trade and ability to
make use a network of contacts. The best skills in Dato’ Aliff personalities is
the ability tu pursue others. At interview with him, he said; "It's
important for me to make a clear explanation and demonstration to customers,
thus attracting their attention to the goods sold.’’ No wonder he is known as a
man versatility in dealing with anyone and in any cases.
2.1.4 Initiative
Entrepreneurs see opportunity everywhere.
They’re innovators who are always on the lookout to either develop a new idea
or improve an existing product or service. At some point in their lives they
noticed something that could be better. But, instead of just saying that
something could be better wasn’t enough. They actually put a plan in motion. In
other words, entrepreneurs have the ability to see the future before it
happens. Research and day-to-day
observation show Dato’ Aliff take the initiative and put himself in positions where he is personally responsible
for success or failure. In his story,
Dato’ Aliff often compare himself with peers who have pocket money to school
for more than 50 cent while he only got 20 cent. Dato’ Aliff make this point to find a way to get more
money. Thus, the mango tree hut lawns his grandmother opened a golden
opportunity for Dato’ Aliff get
additional school expenses. Without any help, he who was then seven years old
to climb the tree and the results made pickles. He said, "Often school boy
carrying a school bag to fill a book, I also carry additional load another bag
mango pickles are sold at prices ranging from 10 cents to 20 cents.’’
This is not made to
be, but a businessman born to be. Entrepreneurs are almost
defined by their drive to constantly develop new ideas and improve on existing
processes. In fact, that's how most of them got into business in the first
place. Successful people welcome change and often depend on it to improve their
effectiveness as leaders and ultimately the success of their businesses as many
business concepts rely on improving products, services and processes in order
to win business.
2.1.5 Time
competence
Much as President
John F. Kennedy outlined a goal to put a person on the
moon by the end of a decade, business owners must be similarly
motivated to set deadlines and hold everyone accountable in order to accomplish
big goals. Good business owners know that time is their most precious asset and
not money. Dato’ Aliff said, in the early stages, he had to go around the
country to introduce his brand D 'Herbs. He is the boss, drivers, salesmen,
agents and marketing officer at one time. Interestingly, this guy has a
resilient spirit, not even ashamed of promoting their brand in the marketplace
night because he believes he can produce quality products and affordable to all
segments of society. Finally, using a powerful advertising strategy almost two
years, Dato’ Aliff brand D 'Herbs gaining ground among customers. Started
operation since 2011, Syukri Aliff can be proud of when market 50 products D
'Herbs began to enter the international market, including Brunei and Indonesia.
CONCLUSION
Entrepreneur is a catalyst for development and economic
growth of a country. Forward and backward economy of a country is dependent on
a dynamic entrepreneur and visionary. They are a unique individual and
different from ordinary human. Entrepreneurial traits that exist in individual
entrepreneurs not only able to develop their own self-entrepreneurs, but also
responsible for the development of society and the state. Even the results of
entrepreneurs able to provide welfare to people all over the world. This can be
seen through cosmetics entrepreneur, who founded Dato' Aliff Syukri with D’Herbs
Healthy Sdn. Bhd. to help restore confidence in every community who have health
problems and beauty. This is because entrepreneurs are the driving forces that
create, launch and attempt to develop a joint venture undertakings.
As a conclusion, we can state that the entrepreneur is
someone who takes risks begin or establish a business or company and work it.
Someone has to start a business or buy a business that was started by another
person also known as entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs also is a leading business
manager and can claim proprietary rights over the business. Entrepreneurs have
a vision and develop business for the prosperity of society. He is someone who
want freedom in business, make their own decisions and so want to be successful
on their own as Dato 'Aliff Syukri who did not give up though the bank will not
approve the financial loan. This is in fact it has made cosmetics entrepreneur
becomes even harder to try to prove his ability.
